Overflow
Troy Gasholder House (1115 5th Ave. Troy NY), March 3, 2010 7:00 PM

"Overflow will be making use of the unique and fascinating acoustics of the historic Troy Gasholder House. When live interactive visuals are used in a musical performance, they can take the role as subservient interpreter of the music, as master conductor of the overall action, or as an equal contributor to the overall experience. Utilizing multiple projectors, and a wide range of instruments, the show will consist of five pieces that explore the various relationships between music and live interactive visuals. The show will be making full use of the Gasholder's ability to sustain and distort sounds, both temporally and spatially. Additionally, creative projection techniques will be used to explore and distort the physical space of the building. The pieces are meant to interact with the overall feeling of the space, as both a lonely, empty void, as well as a place of tremendous energy, meant to be celebrated."
